Meet SPP Mondays: Michigan Comic Collective Anthology

Michigan Comics Collective Anthology Vol. 1 Release!
Creating Comics....Making a Difference!

Michigan – The Michigan Comics Collective is proud to announce the publication date of 9/13/14 for MCC Anthology Volume 1! This collection of independent comic work was created entirely by artists and writers from the state of Michigan and printed by Michigan-based printer, Greko Printing. The 124 page anthology spans all different styles of art and comics and every creator is extremely excited to see the dream become a reality!

The book will be available on September 13, 2014 at Coy's Comics on Bay Rd in Saginaw, where a huge event with the creators in attendance to do sketches, sign copies and prints, and a huge Grand Re-Opening sale for the newly redesigned Coy's. We encourage everyone to attend this one of a kind event! Sales at several other local comic stores and retailers (Cashman's Comics in Bay City, Collector's Corner in Midland, Barnes and Noble in Saginaw, Schuler's in Lansing and several others) will also start on the 13th or shortly thereafter.

"Working with such a talented and aspiring group of local talent has truly inspired and invigorated my spirit and creative drive." - MCC Art Director, Sean Seal.

The MCC has partnered with ArtServe of Michigan to broaden the scope of their charitable endeavors and partial proceeds from the sale of the anthology will benefit ArtServe.

What started as a small group of friends hoping to do some comic work together blossomed into a group of roughly 35 creators (growing all the time!) who are churning out some of the best independent comic work seen anywhere! Check us out on facebook, twitter, or at

Friends and Fans Fridays

The SPP fanbase is growing everyday.  This awesome dad (who is also the creative mind behind the comic series "Up the River") was showing off his "pointer pride" with a great T-shirt featuring the artwork of Diana Busby from the book, Weird Little Kid, written by David C. Hayes.
